Hier volgt een belangrijk bericht voor gebruikers van de GTA firewall.
Het bedrijf GTA bestaat niet meer. Wij krijgen ook geen contact meer met onze contactpersonen van GTA.
In hun laatste communiqué, die zij aan alle administrators van geregistreerde firewalls hebben verzonden stond de volgende tekst:

“Global Technology Associates, Inc. has used the domain name GTA.COM for over 26 years; as we are in the process of closing the company we will no longer be using the domain name GTA.COM. All email and website access will use the GNATBOX.COM domain. If you’ve upgraded to a recent version of GB-OS 6.2 then your firewall will have already been accessing our servers using the GNATBOX.COM domain. For most users of GTA firewall appliances it makes no difference as your system will continue to operate normally even if it can’t reach our servers, (you’ll simply get notifications from the firewall, which can be ignored).

If you are running GB-Ware then you NEED to be on GB-OS 6.2.12 otherwise your system will stop functioning about 1 month after it can’t access our servers. One other very small group of users who NEED to be on GB-OS 6.2.12 are those who still have an active valid Web Content Filtering subscription. These users need to upgrade to GB-OS 6.2.12 regardless if they are running on a GTA appliance or GB-Ware.

We merken dat diverse firewalls met de laatste firmware meldingen krijgen dat op 15 februari 2019 de licentie verloopt. Volgens het bericht van GTA kan deze genegeerd worden, en blijft uw firewall gewoon werken als deze de laatste 6.2.12 firmware heeft. Interstroom kan hier geen garantie op geven!

Wij constateerden dat de website en email adressen die ze in bovenstaand communiqué vermelden, niet meer in gebruik zijn waardoor dit niet te verifiëren is.
